Sourced from vineyards across the Marlborough region, this intense Sauvignon Blanc is alive with a myriad of flavours dominated by gooseberry, passionfruit, fresh citrus and herbaceous aromas.
Vivid aromas of freshly cut herbs, currant leaf and gooseberry waft from this elegant wine. Bursts of lemon and lime with a hint of guava create a lively mid-palate, a striking balance between fruit concentration and freshness with a great length of flavour.
Uniquely salmon pink in colour, a feature that has become synonymous with The New Pinot Grigio. A richly broad yet refreshing and supple style, in part derived from extended contact of the juice with grape skins prior to pressing. Complex fruit aromas of pear, quince and nectarine are evident, finishing with hints of citrus and a rosy floral lift.
The man behind our best-ever-selling white has done it again. Pinot Gris and Noir grapes are gently pressed to make an elegant, creamy and incredibly sippable rosé. The well-structured palate is pumping with strawberry, raspberry and summer berries.
Villa Maria Reserve Chardonnay is made from an exclusive pick of Chardonnay grapes in New Zealand’s fertile Marlborough winemaking region. The nose is fragrant and complex, with notes of florals, zesty citrus, and distinct mineral notes, which all become more intense on the palate. With age, the mineral notes will develop deeper, making this chard even crisper. Fantastic with a selection of cheeses, pasta dishes, and light meats.
Aged in French oak barriques to impart complexity, the heroes in Oyster Bay Merlot are always freshness of ripe fruit, spice and soft tannins on the palate. A wonderful Merlot perfectly crafted to accompany any special moment. Juicy, fresh black plum with a hint of vanilla, bright red currants and alluring spice.
Mud House is one of the biggest names in Marlborough. They’re known for their zingy and deliciously fresh wines, which are textbook examples of Marlborough Sauvignon. Ever since we introduced it a few years ago, this zesty white has been a firm customer favourite. It's the perfect 'just in case' wine to have in the fridge door. It’s intensely refreshing and bursting with tropical-fruit aromas. Think passionfruit, grapefruit, melon and citrus. Perfect with Thai fish cakes.
Oyster Bay Marlborough Chardonnay truly captures the character of Marlborough with pure, incisive, ripe fruit flavours. A combination of barrel and tank fermentation and the stirring of lees on oak, achieves maximum softness and integration. To retain all the natural assertiveness and flavour, no malolactic fermentation takes place. Clonal influences in the vineyard have been very important, providing smaller berries and enhanced flavour intensity.
This wine is a great match with pork or duck and its underlying earthiness will lend well to dishes based around mushrooms. The 2012 vintage won a Bronze Medal at the International Wine Challenge 2015. The IWC is accepted as the world's finest and most meticulously judged wine competition.
