Bushmills release The Causeway Collection 2021 Irish whiskey series.
Irish whiskey producer Bushmills has unveiled a collection of 12 rare single malts aged in a variety of casks.
It is the second annual release within The Causeway Collection, which is inspired by the Giant’s Causeway rock formation in Co. Antrim
The Bushmills distillery is located a stone’s throw away from the Giant’s Causeway, and it has inspired the company’s master distillers for centuries.
The Causeway Collection was launched to great fanfare last year, and Bushmills has now returned to the market with another exciting collection of rare bottlings.
The 2021 collection includes a number of firsts for Bushmills: a 2011 Sauternes cask finish, a 10 Year Old cuvée cask finish and a 2008 Jupille cask finish, as well as a 32 Year Old Port cask, one of the oldest expressions ever released by Bushmills.

Just a stone’s throw from the distillery, the Giant’s Causeway has always served as an inspiration to me. It is an elemental and enigmatic place full of wonder, legend and geology. Where extraordinary hexagonal basalt columns, honed over millennia, form a unique interlocking series of steps found nowhere else in the world.
Like the columns, the expressions in our Collection are forged in countless minute but meaningful layers..
Of salt-laden air and mineral-rich water, of experience and expertise, of patience and ingenuity, of giants before and giants to come, each layer building on the last.
While others might just finish their whiskey for six months or so, we have introduced deeper waves of flavour by allowing these whiskeys to finish in special casks for an unprecedented length of time. This creates unique waves of flavour every bit as dramatic as our County Antrim coastline.
The Causeway Collection celebrates these extremely rare and unique cask finishes. These special cask-finished whiskeys really are our greatest treasures – and we can’t wait to share them with the world.”
